Harriet Meyer

FounderAI for Media

I’m Harriet Meyer, founder of AI for Media and an award-winning financial journalist with more than 20 years’ experience. I’ve written for most UK national newspapers and a range of consumer titles, including The Telegraph, The Times and The Guardian. At The Observer, I wrote the Human Intelligence series on AI. I train and advise editorial, PR and comms teams on how to use AI wisely, without sacrificing the trust and judgement their work depends on. I’ve delivered training across Europe for global comms agencies, financial services firms and some of the biggest newsrooms. I started dabbling with AI when ChatGPT landed, partly driven by fear of being replaced by speedy machine brains. That soon turned into fascination with the power of this new tech, along with a healthy scepticism of the hype around it. In 2025, I was featured by LinkedIn News Europe as one of 12 AI voices to follow in Europe. I’ve chaired the NextGen stage at The AI Summit London and spoken at numerous events for organisations such as the British Society of Magazine Editors, The Bookseller and PRmoment.
